Fast jedes Werk ihrer neuen Serie beschreibt ein bestimmtes Gesetz der Quantentheorie, basierend teilweise auf mathematischen Rechnungen, aber auch auf Beobachtungen. Gemalt wurden diese auf alten (50-60 Jahre), massiven Holzkästen, die mit Papier überspannt sind, welche Ruprechter upcycelte. Diese dienten ursprünglich als Werkzeug eines ausgestorbenen Handwerks zur Aufspannung und Stärkung gehäkelter Deckchen, was auch die zahlreichen kleinen Löcher erklärt.
Die Venus ist der innere Nachbarplanet unserer Erde. Sie ist der hellste Stern am Himmel!
Mit dem Teleskop betrachtet hat sie eine sanfte weiße Farbe. Tatsächlich ist dies eine Schwefelsäurewolke, die in einer Superrotation um den Planeten düst (schneller als die Rotation um die eigene Achse) Diese Wolkenschicht hat lange die Beobachtung der Oberfläche mit Teleskopen oder Kameras auf Raumsonden unmöglich gemacht. Mittlerweile hat man mit Radar immerhin die Topographie kartieren können. Man weiß mittlerweile, dass die Oberfläche der Venus 484 Grad Celsius heiß ist und ein extrem hoher Druck herrscht. Nur wenige Sonden konnten diesen extremen Bedingungen standhalten. Die Venus ist also ganz anders, wie sie von außen zu sein scheint und sie gibt nach wie vor Rätsel auf. Denn nach wie vor weiß man nichts genaues über die Zusammensetzung der Oberfläche.
Die Venus ist einer der zwei Planeten des Sonnensystems, die sich in entgegengesetzter Richtung drehen. Dabei dauert ein Tag auf der Venus länger, als ein Jahr.
Die Venusblume ist das Muster, das entsteht, wenn man die Umlaufbahn von Erde und Venus um die Sonne aufzeichnet.
Benannt nach der Liebesgöttin strahlt unser "Zwillingsplanet" eine große Faszination aus.
Für mich steht die Venus für ein Mysterium, dafür dass es oft anders ist, als es scheint und dafür, dass in allem Schönheit wohnt, auch im Unperfekten.
Dieses Werk beinhaltet ein gehäkeltes Deckchen und Stecknadeln, wie abgebildet und kann gerne wie abgebildetet festgesteckt werden.
