Arundel Castle nestles in the South Downs and Arun valley. The quaint little town next to it is also very picturesque and there is a bridge over the River Arun. It was difficult to pick a suitable perspective for this painting because they are all so stunning. However, because I wanted this scene to be frosty, I used a more distant perspective to show the frost on the lay of the land and River Arun.

This painting uses the wet on wet technique and the castle was detailed in afterwards. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did in it's creation.

Originally from Tonbridge, Kent, I was always making things as a child, my mother following me around the house with projects strewn everywhere. My grandparents were keen artists and gave me lots of encouragement.

Originally from Tonbridge, Kent, I was always making things as a child, my mother following me around the house with projects strewn everywhere. My grandparents were keen artists and gave me lots of encouragement.


In my early 20’s, I undertook a National Diploma course in Graphic Design and then went on to the Surrey Institute in Epsom to gain a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design.  Following 13 years as a Graphic Designer, I decided to fulfil my dream of becoming a Lecturer and pass on what I'd learned. I undertook a PGCE at Northbrook College and gained employment at West Kent College, Ravensbourne and Nescot, where I lectured in Graphic Design, Art and Music. I thrived in helping adults young and old to make their dreams come true. I also unfolded my healing gifts through shamanic and reiki training.

Motherhood, enabled me to return to my own illustration and art projects. My most recent project has been to paint local landscapes that hold fond memories for me and bring great joy and British wildlife. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have...
