Sonia Bellezza was born and lives in Calabria.
She is self-taught and has developed her own personal technique after years of study that lead her not to follow the canons of conventional painting but to use the material to give life to characters full of emotions and feelings in a genre that can be defined as "figurative-material"
There is no moment in which I can say that I started painting, she has always done it... during childhood with premature drawings as a child until today, in a continuous evolution that has led her to use exclusively her hands for her artistic works.
Yes, her hands... messy, fluid, soft but sometimes decisive, ready to give life to ever-different characters, hands that must be the perfect link between thought and action, hands that touch the material to transfer into it the soul that will give life to new figures.
