Born in Colorado in 1953, Robert Goldsberry started his art career at an early age. He took home a 3rd place in the first grade, all school Liberty Day Poster Contest at Liberty Grade School in Rocky Ford Colorado. From that point on he never stopped his passion for art. Drawing and painting became a second nature to him and his talent developed.
Being raised on the Colorado River Indian Reservation in Arizona, gave Robert a wide angle look at the outdoor world and cultures around him. Acknowledgeing Indian artists and crafters, as well as entering his own drawings at local fairs, gave Robert the influence in creativity he needed. After service in the U.S.Air Force, Robert ennrolled at the University of Oklahoma and sought out the art school. In this venue, he had access to exploring the world of art and art history, from old masters to comtemporary artists.
With a degree in painting and art in 1981, awards for merit in school exhibits, Robert has continued his love and exploration for the medium to this date. He now resides in Denver Colorado with his 9 year old son, Kyle, an beginning artist in his own right, and continues to paint professionally.
