Skepa is a French visual painter and sculptor born in 1978. Co-founder of the BAFO movement.
He graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Lyon and began his first approach to painting through the graffiti in the early 90s.
His meeting with Jone Hopper with whom he confused the TBS group and other activists, was a turning point in his approach to art.
Over the years, his painting becomes more experimental, more raw and opens up to new frontiers. He draws his influences from Brauner, Matisse, Corneille, Braque and fireman art.
Several art critics compare his pictorial production to a UFO with multiple tentacles harmoniously mixing organic Cubism embellished with a touch of Unstructured figurative, breaking with the sanitized vision of contemporary art.
He is one of the most active artists on the online art market with a “dizzying” production numbering more than 1,200 works in all mediums. .
