Born in Edo state Nigeria, Simon Ojeaga is a figurative artist whose works are characterized by repetitive and rhythmic lines. These lines form the bodies and figures in his paintings. Having graduated from Auchi polytechnic school of Art and Industrial Design in 2019, he went on to complete a five-week residency at OYASAF Foundation established by Prince Yemisi Shyllon. In 2021 he was amongst the selected artists for the Beyond the canvas' mentorship program with Ndidi Emefiele, and also mentored with Ayoola Gbolahan, a mentorship organized by AMG Projects. Simon's works are highly detailed, filled with small rhythmic broken lines in various directions, his way of interpreting forms and movement.
