Simon Elwell

Originally from New Zealand, Simon Elwell is now working as a freelance photographer based Amsterdam. He travels extensively, including spending a transformative period in South East Asia where he discovered his passion for street photography and capturing the human story.

Simon's professional path led him to work as a field photographer for NGOs, focusing on improving education and creating better school environments for children in underprivileged areas. His compelling photographs were instrumental in supporting these organizations' fundraising efforts, and his assignments took him to various corners of the globe, allowing him to build a stunning portfolio of portraits from places like Rwanda, Myanmar, and Cambodia.

Simon's work is not only recognized but also celebrated; in 2018, he succesfully exhibited a portfolio of work from Rwanda, selling many framed photographs and inspiring community support for his 'belong' theme.
