Shurentsetseg Sukhbat was born in 1988 in the western Zavkhan province.
Shuren likes to paint women, their beauty and their soul. She paints round women because she wants to give them some strength. Their face is often sad, their eyes wandering afar because they feel the hardship of their life. Mongolian women try to control their emotions that often are ignited by the violent relations in a society that is still showing frequent signs of hardship in the daily life.
But her style changes today with a more colorful vision of life and more joyful representations of women that seem to say: « Being a woman is ephemeral, even if you do exist. In a minute you are suddenly agitated by strong waves, and, after that minute, serenity comes back as a blue silk veil floating in the air and as if absolutely nothing had occurred. No one exactly knows how many secrets and sorrows can be found in our woman’s heart. We are sensitive beings but this capricious trait seems so peculiar, so charming though… »
