After attending Rhode Island School of Design and putting her art on hold for many years while working in the corporate world, in 2012 Sharon was discovered as a ‘unique’ abstract artist after taking an abstract painting class which resurrected the creativity inside her that lay dormant. Suddenly, vibrant color and texture became a new experimental process, exciting and delighting with a force of passion that could not be contained.

Sharon continues to explore various abstract techniques which emulate in her work. Her medium is mostly different forms of acrylic and gels, along with ink, and other mixed medium. There is no limit to where Sharon will go to create a unique piece of art.

Inspired by journies to various art colonies in San Miguel de Allende, Thailand, Santa Fe, NM, Ashville, NC, Charleston, SC, Caribbean, and more to come, she continueds her search for self expression, demonstrating a high level of energy and movement. Sharon’s work ‘Burst’, ‘Fiery Storm’, and ‘His Final Warning’ has been on three covers of the American Journal Of Critical Care.

As an exhibiting artist of the Delray Art League, Lake Worth Art League, Boca Artist Guild, an auxiliary of the Boca Raton Museum of Art, where she is a Signature Member, Women In The Visual Arts, ArtServ, the Broward Artist Guild, and the Coral Springs Artist Guild, Sharon has participated in numerous juried shows.

Sharon has earned 9th place in the Painting Category In The Special Merit Awards In The Abstract Art Exhibition, and Excellence In Art In The Special Recognition Category for the Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery. In the Broward Art Guild small works exhibit Sharon received 3rd place for her ‘Galaxy’ collage and a Judge’s Recognition Award for ‘Pink Flower.’ For ‘Radar’ Sharon received a Certificate of Judges Recognition from Women In The Visual Arts.
