Beautiful sculpture of the Egyptian god Horus the falcon god of war and the sky. in matt copper raku. This is a unique signed ceramic work of art that will bring the magic of ancient Egypt into your home. This sculpture is crafted using a special thermic resistant clay and fired using the raku copper fuming technique. The kiln is heated to 1000 degrees Celsius, then the piece is removed from the kiln and placed in sawdust. The effects of the flames create an amazing finish that is totally unique.
Please note that this style of work mustn't be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods in the same way as some water colour paintings, the colours may fade in time.

I graduated from the University of the West of England in 1990 with a BA Hons in Ceramics. I arrived in France in 2001 and proudly took French nationality in 2018.

I create unique pieces of animal art using my love of the natural world. I’ve always had animals in my life and am a keen observer of the wildlife around me. My passion brings sculptures to life revealing their unique characters using careful observation and facial expressions. A slight incline of the head, a sparkle to the eyes makes the difference between a stiff model and an expressive magical work of art. I like connecting with my subject and bringing out the emotions for my audience to enjoy.
