"Autodidacte, j'ai toujours présenté un intérêt pour la peinture. À l'âge tendre, je me plais à faire des copies de cartes postales et des photographies de magazines que je peins à la gouache. À l'adolescence, j'achète mon premier coffret de peinture à l'huile extra-fine. Mes premiers tableaux à l'huile sont alors des reproductions de maîtres tels que Manet, Corot ou encore Constable.
Malgré un intérêt très éclectique pour l'art de la peinture, ma préférence se porte rapidement sur l'impressionnisme. Pour autant, la révélation tant attendue arrive avec la découverte de la technique au couteau après d'innombrables années de peinture à la brosse. Une constante demeure cependant : mon inébranlable attirance par la couleur et la lumière. "
