Diese wiegen etwa 22 kg und die obere Form erinnert an die Dogen-Kopfbedeckung.
Die sechs Zacken symbolisieren die 6 Stadtteile von Venedig: San Marco, Dorsoduro,
San Polo, Cannaregio, Castello und Santa Croce. Der nach hinten gerichtete Zacken
soll für Giudecca stehen.
Venedig ist für mich die schönste Stadt der Welt. Der Charme dieser Stadt mit ihren Gebäuden und ihrer jahrhundertealten Geschichte, fazinieren mich immer aufs Neue.
Ich habe fast einen Monat an diesem Motiv gemalt. Jede Stunde davon, fühlte ich mich wie im Urlaub dort, so sind auf diesem Werk das Licht, die Stimmung und die Farben aus meinem Inneren entstanden.
