Biography
Born on Nov. 24, 1937, in Phillipsburg, Pa., Ron moved with his large Jewish family to Pittsburgh, where he basically grew up. He went to Columbus, Ohio, to attend Columbus College of Art and Design on a Georges Bellow Scholarship. He taught classes in drawing and painting to put himself through school. He also attended classes at the Kansas City Art Institute and Cranbrook. He taught art in the elementary schools of Manhattan. He also obtained a Master's degree from San Miquel Allende, in Mexico.

Painting is created in silence, unlike music. It reflects the movements of the soul's journey, like music. Painting combines the elements of color and form, line and space, light and dark etc. I do not believe the art represents nature - It is nature. It arises on its own and has it's own substance in nature.
