Bushokjes, vergezichten, papier op de muur, streetart,graffiti, stickers, panorama's, tags: ik maak van praktisch alles wat ik op straat tegenkom een foto en verwerk deze later in Photoshop tot een samenhangend stads geheel.
De print wordt uiteindelijk gedaan op MDF wat bewerkt is met een dun laagje gips.

Collages

Collage is an artistic creation technique that consists of making a plastic creation by combining elements of various kinds: more or less flat materials, such as printed oilcloth, painting or drawing, newspaper extracts with text and photos, paper paintings, documents, various objects of low relief, etc. When the creation incorporates elements in relief, one can also speak of assemblage. This also includes glued papers, which employ a variety of papers, including newspaper, and drawing techniques.

Acrylic

Paint using traditional pigments mixed with synthetic resins.

Lacquer

Paint made with a resin from tree sap, various shrubs or with lacquer paints based on thermosetting resins. The technique consists in superimposing layers of lacquers with a vigorous polishing between each layer. It is mostly smooth shiny, but can sometimes also be satin or very Matt.

Plaster

Sculpture technique using a white powder obtained by cooking and grinding gypsum and which, when mixed in water, hardening provides a solid material.

Wood

Sculpture technique using wood, natural material of plant origin.

Techniques for obtaining a photograph by using an electronic sensor as a photosensitive surface, then printing it on paper.

Ik ben van origine verpleegkundige, 25 jaar geleden heb ik dat vak achter me gelaten en heb me om laten scholen tot meubelmaker. Sinds 23 jaar run ik een eenmanszaak. De afgelopen 10 jaar ben ik steeds vaker en meer bezig geweest met kunst. Ik ben begonnen met het verzamelen van oud papier (tijdschriften/bijlages/boeken) en het maken van collages. Dat in combinatie met verf en epoxyhars was de basis van waar ik nu ben. Wat me steeds fascineert is het hergebruik van materiaal, materiaal dat er al een leven op heeft zitten en afgedankt is, of wordt. Vergankelijkheid en tijd spelen in aanzet een grote rol in hetgeen ik maak. "Het alles is eindig" idee probeer ik op deze manier een tijdelijk halt toe te roepen. Naast het verzamelen van en werken met oud papier fotografeer ik ook. Beelden van steden, mensen in steden, in hun dagelijks doen en laten. Foto`s van streetart. Fascinerend welk een hoeveelheid en diversiteit er aan streetart is. Die foto`s vormen de basis voor mijn mixed media projecten waarbij ik de beelden van de geschoten onderwerpen combineer in Photoshop. Het eindresultaat van die collage laat ik printen. Ook in deze zit weer hang naar behoud van wat eens was. De graffiti en streetart die ik fotografeert heeft vaak een tijdelijk karakter, verdwijnt weer, of door weersinvloeden of door sloop, of doordat kunstwerken weer overgespoten worden door andere artiesten. Op deze manier behoud ik wat mooi was. En zal zijn.
