All my life I’ve been an artist and for most of it I worked as the resident stage set design painter at the National Opera House and Ballet Theatre of Lithuania. The painted sets would typically span 800x440 inches (20x11 m) in size. In 2012 I decided to revisit working with oil mediums on smaller dimension surfaces and that quickly became my favoured spare time activity outside of work. Shifting to smaller scale paintings wasn’t easy, however, the workshops held by Barry John Raybould and Viacheslav Korolenkov have helped me find my way. In 2023 I moved to Tyrol, Austria and am continuing my artistic work journey as an independent impressionism painter with my primary focus being nature scapes and still life with floral motives.
