"Fine-Arts" prints on paper
It is a process of printing on art paper using very high-quality pigment inks and printed in very high definition. Its level of conservation is exceptional (more than 100 years), its quality, depth, and richness of nuances exceeds the classic photo print on Argentic paper.
Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. It is used by major museums worldwide as it offers excellent resolution, rendering deep and dense colors.

Kunst ist für Rea Schenk ein Umgang mit dem Unaussprechlichen. Eine Gelegenheit, gängige Kategorien zu hinterfragen und angemessen neu zu etablieren. Als Ingenieurin ist sie Quereinsteigerin in der Kunstszene. Sicherlich nicht zufällig und aus verschiedenen Gründen hat sie digitale Kunst im Moment als das Richtige für sie gefunden, experimentiert aber zunehmend in Kombination mit tradierten Techniken. Technologie ist für sie keine narzisstische Kränkung ihrer Grenzen, sondern eine Erweiterung und Hilfe, um auszudrücken, was andere Sprache nicht zulässt. Ursprüngliche Fotografien verändern sich, werden mitunter verworfen, neu arrangiert, bearbeitet mit ganz unterschiedlichen Techniken und zunehmend auch komplett übermalt. Rea wählt den Weg, der immer etwas mehr will, das Dazwischen sucht. Der das Atmosphärische einzufangen sucht, das, was nicht sagbar ist.
WER?
Frau, Künstlerin und Technikerin, geboren 1969 in Berlin. Grafikdesign war früh meine Leidenschaft, aber ich hatte lange nicht den Mut. Neben grafischen Arbeiten für kleine Museen, Vereine, Musiker und kleine Agenturen ging der Weg zunächst in die Technik. Als Ingenieurin bin ich über das technische Zeichnen und Fotografieren zurück zum CAD und zu meiner Leidenschaft gekommen.
