Rashmi Rekha is an Indo-Canadian artist from Ottawa Canada. Her paintings address the human response to life’s intricacies and variations. Rashmi's paintings portray serious subjects of social pressure, burden of self awareness and scientific inquiry of modern life in a playful manner. Her presentation is absorbing and colorful. She loves nature. Her landscape paintings are abstract expressions of a place and surroundings. The viewer gets involved on her canvas for a long time. Rashmi uses wealth of colours and brush strokes to express the depth of her theme and create a moving narrative. Most of her current work is in oil and acrylic and some in mixed media.
Rashmi’s paintings are included in several private collections in Canada, USA, Dubai and India. Several of her paintings adorn the walls of private businesses in Ottawa, Canada. She has generously contributed some of her work to her favorite charities.
She has been constantly exhibiting her work in Canada at solo shows and various group shows over the last 10 years.
Her work is also at the Kevin Dodds Gallery and Transvision Gallery in Ottawa Canada.  She gives regular art workshops and she is a mentor artist at the Studio 507 in Ottawa.

She has regularly sold her artwork through the local galleries.
