Mario Sepulcre entreprend sa formation artistique dès 1980 en France, au Canada et en Italie. Il parcourt les musées pour s’imprégner des messages silencieux des grands maîtres. Au contact d’artistes expérimentés ils s’initie aux techniques anciennes de la peinture.
Il rencontre en 1994, madame Jeanne Marie Bertaux, maître fresquiste avec qui il s’initie à l’art de la fresque à l’italienne.Mario Sepulcre expose depuis l’âge de 18 ans en France, en Corse, au Canada, en Italie, en Espagne, en Allemagne et aux Etats-Unis. Le travail de Mario Sepulcre est inspiré de mythologie, du symbolisme et de la spiritualité.
Né à Oran (Algérie) en 1957, Gustave-Mario Sépulcre se passionne pour les Arts Plastiques avec sa première exposition à l’âge de 17 ans. Son style est alors d’inspiration surréaliste. Sa soif d’approfondir cette vocation le pousse à voyager et à étudier les Arts Visuels au Canada. Commence alors un cycle d’expositions axées principalement sur la figuration de l'imaginaire. Diverses rencontres d’artistes et critiques d’art apportent la confirmation d’un vif intérêt pour la peinture de la renaissance occidentale. Ainsi le souci d’une perfection formelle s’associe à des visions symboliques. Confronté à d’autres expériences artistiques, il s’exprime à travers la scénographie théâtrale, les recherches vocales et musicales. Sa quête de la Vérité l’attire vers les mystères spirituels situant Gustave-Mario Sépulcre en dehors du temps et des modes éphémères.
