Orazio Barbagallo
Nasce a Monza il 17 febbraio 1961 da una famiglia in cui il mestiere dello scalpellino era tramandato di padre in figlio, sin da giovanissimo matura una naturale creatività che lo porta in breve tempo a cimentarsi, oltrechè nella scultura, nella pittura e nella grafica. Dopo le scuole dell’obbligo s’iscrive all’Istituto Statale di Monza. Appena maggiorenne apre lo studio e inizia professionalmente la produzione artistica, collabora alla realizzazione di scenografie teatrali, cinematografiche e pubblicitarie.
Nel 1996 una serie di viaggi all’estero gli permette di allacciare rapporti di collaborazione con diverse gallerie d‘Arte Europee, tra le quali: Centro d’Arte VAAS di Vence (F), Peter Brughel Art Gallery di Amsterdam e la Galerie Angerer in Austria, è un intenso periodo espositivo che lo porta a Roma, Modena, Carpi, Bergamo, Taormina, Innsbruck, Parigi e Zurigo.
Nel 1997 esegue due mosaici con il tema dell’Annunciazione e nel 2000 due pannelli di bronzo sul tema del Nuovo e Vecchio Testamento per l’altare della Chiesa Santa Margherita Cascina del Bruno Arcore (MB).
Nel 2001 e nel 2005 è invitato all’INCONTRO EUROPEO DI SCU
