ALVARO MEJIAS was born in Valencia on June 20, 1957. From an early age he was curious about the plastic arts and his first steps in painting were made in the “free art workshop” of Tigre (Anzoategui). In 1973 he traveled to France where he studied at the Paris School of Fine Arts (Chair: drawing and art history). He lived and worked in Paris until 1992. He currently resides in the Brittany region (western France).
