Hi everyone as you can tell by my name ( Olivier = Olive tree in French) I am French and from from southern France at that (where Olive trees grow).
I am not unfortunately able to make a living out of my painting so I am also a full-time english teacher in a middle school: I paint with words but I'd much rather be painting with oil and pigments...
I only recently joined Artpal and also some of their competitors to increase the chance of actually selling work :)
My( not uncommon) dream is to make a living out of what I love above all: painting and drawing.
If I ever make enough money I will complete my artistic education in Florence at one of the classical academies.
Feel free to ask for commission work be it of still lives of objects that mean a lot to you or that you find of aesthetic value or of portraits painted from life (if you don't live too far) or from photographs.
I am a fan of classical painting( figurative works mainly and I feel very little for what's considered beautiful art from the +1900s to the 1980s with a few exception) and consider that the majority of good drawing and painting today is actually done by artists who are not working in the field of 'Fine arts '
ie comic strip artists / conceptual artists for the video game industry and so on.
Anyway if you're in any way inclined to purchase a painting or just have a nice little chat about Art or even to finance me ( in case you're a millionaire) with the aim of furthering my artistic education in Italy you are more than welcome to get in touch.
