In early March came the first warnings of road closures, here in the north began before in the rest of Italy, traffic blockage, activities and already the tension began to be felt. I don't know when I would see the people I love, my family away, I don't know when I could resume my normal activities, work, photography, projects, everyday life.
The cases in China had already made me think a lot and seeing those images of people completely upset in a new way of life made me think. The fear, the discomfort, the new perception of distances have given rise to this project in me.
And time was the one that accompanied me, spurred and even challenged during photo shoots. I managed to do a part of the shots, then the impossibility of going out stopped me but also gave me a great opportunity: Living time with completely different rhythms than we are used to. I started breathing the time

Teresa Letizia Bontà is an exceptionally talented photographer. She began her journey into the world of self-taught photography at an early age. Her first source of inspiration was her environment and the artistic and natural splendor of her country. There is no shortage of people, women, and the surrounding reality among her favorite subjects. Her photography is straightforward but meticulous in its attention to detail. Her photographs communicate who she is and where she has been. She experiments with color in contrast to the lines of bodies conveying emotions and everyday life.
Teresa Letizia Bontà was born in the Italian town of Licata Agrigento in 1981. She currently resides and works in Venice (Italy). She participates in and is chosen for exhibitions at a number of Italian and international galleries. In May 2019, she came in second place in the "Michelangelo Vizzini" award for women and Sicily, earning the Special Jury Prize for the shot immortalizing the two women kissing.
