Pavel Kuragin is a contemporary Russian artist. Kuragin is known for his inventive exploration of ideas and techniques, combining them with classical surfaces. He employs a variety of media, such as pieces of book pages, handmade paper, magazine sheets, and craft paper, which he skillfully paints using oil pastels, acrylics, markers, ink, and pencils. His conceptual paintings are incredibly detailed, with each object and character playing a significant role and conveying a profound sense. Embedded within his artworks are numerous hidden stories waiting to be discovered. Pavel's pieces of art evoke a sense of wonder, reminiscent of fairy tales from our childhood—mystical, occasionally surreal, and sometimes realistic, always presenting kind narratives that captivate the imagination until the end.

Kuragin's figurative works consistently feature anthropomorphic figures, whether human, animal, or fantastical characters. The paintings often portray heroes with multiple eyes, mouths, and noses or peculiar adorable animals like fish, hares, cats, and bears behaving in human-like ways.

A vibrant and harmonious palette, with bold color combinations, characterizes his art. The interactions between people and animals, both domestic and wild, are a recurring theme in his compositions, showcasing harmonious coexistence. The human figure in Kuragin's paintings serves as a protector and patron of the animal world, with animals taking shelter behind him, perching on his hands, or joyfully surrounding him in flight, swim, or run.

His paintings themselves are complete stories, narrated through vivid and compelling imagery. Each artwork is an enchanting tale that captivates, leaving viewers eager to share and revisit its wonders. Engaging with Kuragin's paintings becomes an inspiring journey, where the composition and interplay of elements spark the imagination and encourage personal interpretations. Each viewer is drawn to create their own narrative while exploring the captivating world he brings to life.

Over the past few years, Pavel Kuragin sold out more than 4000 art pieces. His artworks have found their way into numerous private collections worldwide, including countries like Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Great Britain, Australia, USA, Canada, France, Italy, Japan, UAE, Singapore, among others.
