Patrice Vial is a French multidisciplinary self-taught artist, born in 1969, in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, in Savoie (France). He spent all his childhood in the Maurienne valley, where he has been creating his creations for over twenty-four years.

The artistic universe of Patrice Vial has been built over time. From drawing to photography, from image manipulation to digital painting, including author's writings, the artist vibrates to the rhythm of his creativity, totally free to express it through very different styles. This is how the tone is set from the start, and the visitor finds himself directly confronted with the artist's very personal vision of contemporary art.

Very dynamic in his artistic production, Patrice Vial works on many styles and imposes no limits in the way he conceives his creations. The artist abandons himself to creativity, in a universe of dreams and absolute freedom. This is how time disappears to leave room only for the indescribable movement of his imagination, thus highlighting all his creativity.

Addressing the theme of wild animals, Patrice Vial is known for her sense of composition and the sublimation of black and white photography. These are worked with a new perspective, exploring the representation of one's own vision. The artist's works are characterized by a visual impact, which is singularly distinguished by a worked play of shadow and light, the most visionary lighting, as well as an almost invisible addition of color, produced with subtlety, depth, and great sensitivity. The artist thus reinterprets black and white, which is the translation in its greatest expression of all the emotion that drives him. A very beautiful retrospective that allows you to take a new look at contemporary art.

The artist works on many subjects and in particular the artistic nude, and the landscapes that surround us. At the same time, he works on abstract or more figurative works. This is how the model disappears, how reality is modified, to become nothing more than a staging. 

To give more depth to some of his works, Patrice Vial plays with texture effects, relief effects, and artificial light effects, in a purely artistic and conceptual approach that is totally free, where nothing is ever defined at advance.
