Self-taught, my inspiration has been in drawing and painting since my early childhood. It has always been my means of expression with dance. My painting expresses my journey and reflects different emotions that have crossed my life. Diversity between suffering, questions, hope, freedom, beauty, femininity, love and family. It also speaks of my connection with nature and the animal world, as well as the visible universe offered by the beauty of a sky morning by a sun at dusk and the brightness of the moon.

Mexico (Suffering, confusion, hope, faith)

My first large paintings began in 1990 in Mexico where I lived continuously from 1981 to 2000. In a surrealist figurative style, they reflect my own story. A dark period where I expressed my questions about my own contradictions; they bathe in darkness and light, madness and wisdom, distant horizons; Everything that inhabited my mind as a young woman. A slightly dark style with an ounce of hope. I found myself in the work of Frida Kahlo, whom I admired. I created my paintings by combining paint and mixed materials to mark certain textures and give relief.

I then learned about mural painting to see bigger, starting by painting my own walls by playing with associations of washed-out colors and textures by working on blurring. Over time, I evolved by associating myself with very experienced decorative artists, who taught me new techniques on some large projects.

Back in France in the year 2000 (The history of others in my eyes)

A new period. I no longer paint my story but rather that of others. I paint people in a figurative style with more diversified styles but always with a touch of surrealism that marks their story in my eyes.

2021: Transition and new universe of expression: Humor, joy and freedom

My painting crosses a new universe of expression marked by the passage from the figurative to a series of more abstract intuitive drawings, where the gesture is totally spontaneous, without thinking, without reference points and which does not expect a result. Just an adventure with the unexpected. A fluid line of a single gesture that, little by little, takes shape and gives life to characters and an imaginary world.

Also, I return to the figurative by relying on Botticelli's Venus and on one of the young women of the master of Art Nouveau, Alfons Mucha.

Figurative with sometimes a touch of surrealism, a more serene stage expressing beauty, strength, wisdom and always freedom.
Inspired by my travels and the nomadic spirit, I paint portraits of indigenous peoples.
The deep respect and complicity that I have towards animals and nature also invite me to paint them.
