Belianskyi Oleksandr (1950)

Professor of the Department of Drawing at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture. Honored Artist of Ukraine since 1992. He was born in Luhansk, Ukraine. He graduated from the Kyiv State Art Institute in 1976 (O. Lopukhov's workshop), has been teaching drawing there since 1987, and has been an associate professor since 1992, since 1996 - Professor of Drawing at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture. Works in the field of easel painting (subject canvases, portraits, still lifes), combining a realistic style of writing with expressive search and appeal to modernism. He lives and works in Kyiv. The works are in private collections: Ukraine, Poland, Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria, Great Britain, the Netherlands, the USA, the People's Republic of China (Hong Kong).

The main goal of the artist for the last decade is the desire to understand the form of its embodiment in the organic search for the image in his works. Form, in its understanding of the discipline of constant and secular, is a more accurate symbol for determining the nature of modern European art culture. The form, perceived in its definition in equilibrium, in its expression of harmony, is the carrier of symmetry, order, Cartesian equilibrium of the image. But the form is also in redundancy, redundancy, ellipse, revival of content, in the vortex of similarity. Form in drawing, form in color, form in matter, only that which has form makes sense in the perception of the artist.
