It is my belief that artists are like mediums, gathering messages from the universe and revealing them in parts on canvas. It is in abstract & contemporary art that you will see this to be true. I cant speak for every artist but when I paint I stand in almost an altered state of being and I paint and paint until the image is finished, there is no planning, no forethought just the effect of paint hitting canvas. What you see on the canvas developes freely. I believe in this way that the art is perfect because its almost natural, almost beyond human intervention.

My figurative works are different I like to think they are the dictionary for my abstract pieces. Some people dont ""read""abstract well, the figures now need to tell the story.
