Norbert Engel is a French painter born in Lorraine, and he currently works on the Côte d'Azur
He learned the techniques of drawing and painting at the School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg. He began to draw nudes and paint on the ground. Then, his passion as a colorist naturally oriented him towards abstract painting, monochromy and automatic writing.
He also practices digital painting with which he has an almost unlimited palette of colors. His nature, both energetic and meditative, means that one can draw strength or appeasement from his painting.
For him a successful work is a work which has presence, and which exudes emotion. He has had exhibitions in Paris, New York, Miami, Madrid, Strasbourg, Colmar and in the Atelier to his credit.
