Born in 1989, Nobody is a French street artist. At the beginning of his career and equipped with his spray paint, he left his mark on the fences of cultural places in Brussels. His youthful passion is channeled into the art of lettering through European subways. An almost visceral need pushes Nobody to externalize his internal vision of the world.
His work is influenced by graffiti and the Lowbrow movement, echoing the codes of popular culture.
His drawings mix icons, logos, imaginary characters, to point out the setbacks of our society. Before the image, his works highlight a social message and thus embrace an anti-stardom. The artist offers a social satire of a world flooded by information and disinformation. Ambient consumerism takes a hit with a vehement and nostalgic tone. Nobody is nobody but everybody, a symbol and compendium of our society at the crossroads of street and pop culture. Graffiti marries the canvas and reinvents itself between provocation and humor. Balloons intrude into his canvases, like an extra bit of lightness and brilliance. A glimmer of hope shines through on a poetic fiber. Dreaminess serves a better receptivity as to questions of pretense, conventions, standards and our Western identity.
