Nicole Cecil B
Nicole Cecil Braeunig Freudhoefer lives in Berlin and in the bavarian Alps, works in the international electronics business and helps actively in social welfare.
She began to express her experience in a very sensitive and personal way, reflecting her perception of the world - fluctuating between metropolis and absolute quietness, presence of death and the pure desire to live.
Her works in all their positivity want to focus the viewer's gaze on the beauty of the subject, not only the colourful sceneries but especially the bodies:
Elegant, not vulgar nudity, slender and sculpted shapes, the profiles not outlined.
Almost as if they wanted to keep their identity unknown. A boundless force of the subject is exposed.
Indestructable and ready for anything to come.

M.A.D.S. Milano Catalogue 2020 about the Artwork "Everything is okay":
From the M.A.D.S. Catalogue 2020:
"Nicole Cecil Bräunig-Reichel lives in Berlin and works in the international management of an electronics company. She began to express her experience in a very sensitive and personal way, reflecting on her personal perception of the world, fluctuating between the presence of death and the pure desire to live. “Everything is ok” is a work that in all its positivity, wants to focus the viewer’s gaze on the beauty of the subject. An unknown body, with shoulders, showing in its elegant and not vulgar nudity, slender and sculpted shapes, through which it is possible to glimpse the breasts and buttocks. The profile is not outlined, almost as if the woman wanted to keep her identity unknown. The artist’s intention is perhaps to expose the boundless force of the subject, indestructible and ready for anything. As a primordial archetype and abstract concept, the female figure is one of the first signs traced by human hands. Initially, in classical art, the beauty of the woman was linked to fertility, as evidenced by the statuette of the Venus of Willendorf; a woman with wide shapes, especially those of the womb and breast. At the time the woman was considered merely an artistic object. An idealized, prized, sophisticated and elusive object; sometimes even threatening, exciting, dangerous and demonic. But still, by definition, an object that had to be eradicated from anything that did not belong to the sphere of irrational. In the story we can see how the woman was Goddess and Madonna, mother and queen, lover and object of pleasure, naked or dressed coded by fashion and the decoration of the representation. In each of these manifold aspects it has given body to the canons of beauty, seductive reflections of harmonies, earthly and otherworldly pleasures. Between the end of the Middle Ages and the beginning of the Renaissance, the canons of feminine beauty changed radically. We passed from pale figures, with barely mentioned breasts, to ladies in flesh, with wide hips, generous curves, and faces with lips and vermilion-colored cheeks. Most of the patrons and artists of the time were certainly not immune to the charm of the features of women and exploited the sacred subjects as a pretext to excite sensuality. Nudity, in the Christian sphere, thus became increasingly ambivalent: an emblem of holiness, purity and mortification of one’s own body, but also a symbol of lust. In the eighteenth century, however, women begin to be more aware of their beauty, which is valued and exhibited. In the nineteenth century, then, appears one of the most revolutionary paintings: La Maja desnuda by Goya. For the first time, a naked woman is depicted in an opera without necessarily having to be a goddess or a mythological character. It is evident how that ideal of beauty sought by Nicole with the work “Everything is ok”, pure and eternal, from the lack of imperfections, has therefore distant origins and is not only a symptom of modern restlessness."
Scrapers
First of all: Thank you so much for all your wonderful comments! Merci beaucoup pour vos commentaires!
As you can see in my gallery "Newest Artworks" I have changed the painting technique recently - from brush to scrapers.
Using lots of shiny colours the new paintings feel very strong and full of energy. I could discover that I love to express my emotions this way.
Starting an artwork in this new style, I have no idea about how the result should look like at all.
I just paint... paint what I feel… escaped to a different world… finished as soon as all my emotions have "flown" into the painting.
And then I sit down on the floor.
In front of my work.
Very still.
And just look.
Look and explore - for hours and hours…
And I ask myself: What do I see?
Even though the artworks are very abstract, I find so many little things in the intense colours: people, animals, mountains, lakes, flowers. Every time I watch it looks different to me: One time like millions of tulips, the other time like a beautiful orchid blossom.
And I see me. Genuine and unadorned.
What did it teach me?
If you are busy on whatever you love in your life (for me e.g. painting), you will not think or scare too much - not even about health threats. And you learn a lot about your innermost self.

Das goldene Auto
Leer ist ihr Garten.
Die Läden sind geschlossen.
Immer hat sie draussen gewerkelt.
Und immer war sie allein.
So gefreut hat sie sich
über jedes noch so kleine Gespräch,
weil immer allein.
Stets respektvoll,
und höflich distanziert.
Ihre glasklare Stimme klingt noch immer in meinem Ohr.
Sonst unscheinbar.
Leise.
Fast farblos.
Trotz des rot gefärbten Haars.
Und immer allein.
Mit meinen Katzen hat sie sich unterhalten.
Sie haben sie bei ihrer Gartenarbeit kontrolliert
und wir haben miteinander gescherzt.
Sonst immer still.
Lautlos.
Ausgehauchtem Leben
habe ich in die Augen gesehen.
Aus verschiedensten Perspektiven.
Auch aus meiner eigenen.
Ein Blick gefüllt von Angst, Wut, Fragen, Ungläubigkeit...
Doch wann beginnt man loszulassen?
Wann kommt die Akzeptanz?
Die innere Ruhe...
Für sich und für die anderen..
Wenn man den Tod fühlt?
Einmal hatte ich für mich losgelassen.
Ich konnte den Tod spüren.
Meine innere Ruhe kam mit der Erkenntnis,
dass ich im Leben alles hatte.
Wider Erwarten überstanden,
begann der Kampf.
Vieles habe ich gesehen.
Die einen geben ihr Leben auf.
Die anderen beginnen einen schweren und
aussichtslosen Ritt bis zum letzten Wimpernschlag.
Wen soll man dafür bewundern?
Wer zieht sich zurück?
Wer leidet mit?
Und wer bemitleidet?
Manchmal frag ich mich:
Wie lange werden sie brauchen
zu realisieren,
dass ich nicht mehr da bin?
Einfach weg...

Mein Dämon kommt in der Nacht
Mein Dämon kommt in der Nacht.
Wie ein heimlicher Liebhaber
schleicht er sich in mein Bett.
Er schmiegt sich an mich,
umschmeichelt und liebkost,
bis er alles in mir umhüllt.
Und beginnt, mich zu zerfleischen...
Für Dich
Noch immer raubst Du mir den Atem,
wenn die Wärme Deiner Augen
tief in mein Herz dringt,
wenn Deine zarte Berührung
mich erschaudert
und ein wissendes Lächeln
uns für immer verbindet.
Viele große Träume,
viele kleine Augenblicke,
viele Erinnerungen
lassen Dich in meiner Seele ewig leben.
