Nadège Martineau is a contemporary sculptor based in France. She had the chance to discover and learn about modeling after being initially drawn to the sculptures of South African masters Anton Smit and Dylan Lewis.
Faces are a recurring element in all of her works; whether they are realistic, stylized, or even carved out, she finds endless inspiration in them. Each character has his or her distinct physiognomy and wounds, yet always delivers a lovely calm through a contemplative attitude.
