Muriel Stalaven is a versatile artist whose career spans many areas of art and design. Her initial training in weaving with Betty Briand in Chinon paved the way for a broader exploration of the visual arts. She is now recognized for her permanent exhibitions at the CurieuxRenards gallery and her participation in exhibitions in France and abroad. By founding the CurieuxRenards gallery in Vendôme and creating temporary galleries in Saint-Brieuc, she has left her mark on the artistic world with her innovative presence.
Muriel Stalaven is also the author of a reference article in the contemporary art magazine ArtZur and has created several remarkable installations, such as "Madame Yvonne au Cap" in Plérin and "Where you are no longer, we went there", a 600m2 work at the Cultural Center Le Petit Echo de la mode in Châtelaudren. Her artistic commitment is also demonstrated by the opening of a professional workshop and the artistic direction of the International Animation Film Biennials, the Rencontres 10/10.
She designed and directed the animated film section for the Lycée de Tréguer and is a founding member of the Double Vue association in Côtes d'Armor, where she works in visual arts and animated film. Muriel Stalaven also runs animated film workshops at the J.CARTIER Centre for the Hearing Impaired.
Her career also includes a role as an author and illustrator for Hachette Jeunesse, as well as the production of an animated film. She has exhibited her works in Paris and led school animation film workshops in the capital.
Before devoting herself fully to her artistic projects, she held various positions as a designer, layout artist, studio manager and illustrator in advertising agencies in Paris, while creating posters, theater props and costumes for different companies. She was a student of Ben Ami Koller in Paris and followed a professional training at the Gobelins as well as a specialization in advertising design and arts and crafts.
