Born in 1926, André Helluin began drawing and painting in 1945. Studies in Paris and Strasbourg. He is part of the post-
war period of St Germain des Prés, living on (very) little, doing a thousand odd jobs to be able to eat and pay for his studies....
Numerous exhibitions in the Latin Quarter ..... He is cited by critics in many art journals as a painter
of the future: light, color, drawing and the power of expression of his personality made his work known in Paris.
After difficult years in his personal life, he left Paris to be able to paint "all his drunk", whole days
until& #039;until illness overwhelms him: he wanted to die in his studio...that's what happened one evening in November 2015.
At 89, he leaves behind an important work: more of 600 canvases and drawings that are just waiting to live with those who would appreciate
the painting of a talented and passionate artist
