Moesey Li is a contemporary Russian painter born in 1943 in the Fergana Region of the Uzbek SSR. He graduated from the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture in Leningrad in 1976. A member of the USSR Union of Artists since 1985, Moesey Li has achieved significant recognition throughout his career. He won the Grand Prix at the international contest "Dialogue: Color and Line" in the painting category with his work Winter River. He was also honored as a laureate at the international art exhibition Victory, marking the 60th anniversary of the Soviet Union’s victory in the Great Patriotic War, for his painting The Return. Additionally, he was a laureate at the All-Russian art exhibition commemorating the 65th anniversary of the Soviet victory in the Battle of Stalingrad, with The Return.
Moesey Li's achievements also include winning the 1st prize in the My Pushkin competition for his painting Death of the Poet, organized by the regional branch of the Russian Cultural Foundation. He was awarded first place in the Genre Painting category at the Days of Slavic Art in Germany international painting competition in both 2012 and 2013.
