Miljana Marković was born in Belgrade (Serbia) in 1988. She graduated from the Arts High School in Belgrade, Department of Conservation and Restoration. She studied design and holds a Bachelor's degree in Mosaic Art as well as a Master's degree in Icon Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts and Conservation (Belgrade, Serbia). Her artwork involves mainly mosaics and icons, but also oil paintings, and miniature paintings (various painting techniques).

She has exhibited in group exhibitions both in Serbia and abroad and has won several awards in mosaic art and paintings. She is an active member of the Association of Applied Artists and Designers of Serbia – ULUPUDS and the Eurasian Art Union.

Byzantine art had a great influence on her artistic creation, especially on iconography. The love for making icons and mosaics was born early, during school age. Her style has roots in Serbian medieval painting and Greek icon painting. Encounters with Roman mosaics of Tunisia, Byzantine mosaics in Greece, and the European capital of mosaics - Ravenna, influenced her further creativity.
