Para Meleunert, la pared que sostiene la escultura es tanto un recurso expresivo, como parte del discurso conceptual de la pieza, como un elemento funcional, que mantiene la obra en posición vertical.
Haraquiri, analogy with the Japanese ritual suicide by unraveling, but this is not allusive to the extinction of our physical body but to the elimination or removal of our ego, responsible for a false self and the need to be aware of the fact. Receptacle of programming inherited by our society, family, customs, etc.
To Meulenert, the wall supporting the sculpture is both an expressive resource, being part of the conceptual discourse of the piece, and a functional element, holding the work in a vertical position.⠀
This sculpture is meant to be fixed against the wall with small nails placed within the structure of the piece itself. However, if isassembled, it also stands by itself without losing shape. ⠀
