Michel Marzin is a contemporary French sculptor. He engages in metalwork through techniques such as cutting, twisting, welding, and polishing. After the sculptural volumes are formed, he dedicates himself to enhancing the texture of the metal in two stages: fusion and polishing. This particular aspect of his process is one he enjoys, as it allows for a delicate balance between the luster of polishing and the raw, gray hues resulting from metal melting. It is at this juncture that the soul of the sculpture is brought to life.
