I am writing my own bio because I believe in connecting directly with you. Let me first say thank you so much for visiting my page and taking time out of your day to look at my art. I spend many hours creating it with very deep heartfelt emotion. Every piece is a part of me in some way on a level I cannot put into words. That is the beauty of art. I grew up in Fort Smith, Arkansas. I have been drawing since I was 3 years old when my father used to sit with me and draw pictures of cars and World War 2 vehicles. I spent most of my adult life learning to paint in oils, acrylics, colored pencils and digital formats. I especially love to read horror, fantasy and science fiction books. My dream has been to paint covers for the fiction I love for many years. I love painting fantastical scenes and I love painting people. I also love going to art museums and studying the old master painters of realism. John Singer Sargent, Andrew Wyeth, Frank Frazetta and Thomas Eakins are some of my favorites. I also love modern fantasy artists like Michael Whelan, Gerald Brom, Jeff Easley, Donato Giancola, Patrick Jones, etc. May of these and more had a huge impact on my painting development and style. I have also worked professionally for 8 years as a graphic designer. This gave me a huge understanding of composition and creating images with impact to the viewer. My work has appeared many places and in many magazines, among them IMagineFX, and HBO's Game of Thrones Compendium. Please send me a message if you like my work!
