Michael Hébert was born in 1985 and lives and works in France, where he exercises his talent for drawing and painting. A graduate of the École Nationale d'Architecture de Bretagne, he first explored the world through his travel journals, drawing inspiration from the landscapes and architecture he encountered on his journeys.
After this immersion in reality, Michael Hébert set out to explore new perspectives in space and time through imaginary compositions. Using a variety of techniques including fine point, acrylic and mixed media, he creates vibrant works in which architecture comes alive and reinvents itself under his brush.
His drawings and paintings captivate with their dynamism and movement. Through collections such as “Villes Imaginaires”, “Architecture 2D” and “Playmobil”, Michael Hébert explores the boundaries between structural and human architecture, sometimes fusing the two to create compositions that are both bold and harmonious.
In his “Villes Imaginaires” series, he brings to life dreamlike urban landscapes where buildings seem to dance and metamorphose before the viewer's gaze. With “Architecture 2D”, he adopts a cubist, pop art style, infusing color and fantasy into his representations of the city. Finally, with his “Playmobil” series, he hijacks the famous toy characters in a graffiti and pop art style, offering a playful, offbeat vision of architecture.
Recognized for his talent, Michael Hébert has won several awards, including the Prix du Public in St Brieuc and Thorigné Fouillard in Brittany, as well as the Prix Jeune Talent Architecture de Bretagne.
