Dont Care is inspired by those times when things get a little bit too hectic and we feel like just saying 'you know what? i dont even care'. This is why the subject has her back turned in a way to show the world what she thinks of all the noise.
The process for this piece was really fun for me as a painter because i was in the moment, feeling free using strong, confident strokes of paint. As women we get fed up of demands and expectations so this is an ode to such women who just need take some time out and let the world worry about itself for a bit.
The painting has a strong presence that can't be missed and this is what I'd like viewers of it to hopefully feel.
