Two emerging Seattle artists make brave “First Expressions” starting Wednesday, Aug. 2 at VIVEZA. Casey Curran creates engaging pieces where the symbols of great literature are infused with life. Mattie Iverson preserves the vast landscapes of her African treks through the filter of her mind’s eye. Both debuting talents offer innovative works of art that exemplify VIVEZA’s aesthetic of "the sublime nature of complex systems." Both artists were handpicked by VIVEZA from this year’s BFA show at Seattle’s renowned Cornish College.
