Il décide de s’installer en France en 1974 pour devenir Artiste-Peintre. Durant ses débuts, il se spécialise dans les nus qui constituent le pilier de toutes ses œuvres futures, et expose entre autres au Salon d’Automne de Paris, au Salon des Artistes Français, au Salon National des Beaux-Arts.

Depuis 1989, il se dédit entièrement à la Peinture et commence à s’intéresser aux paysages, s’y consacrant avec sensibilité suite à une révélation provoquée par les scènes de la vie quotidienne qu’il esquisse sur son carnet de croquis. Les esquisses comme le dessin et le pastel, sont pour lui, un perpétuel exercice pour l’œil et l’esprit, qui composeront ensuite la base de ses peintures à l’huile dans son atelier.

Aimant peindre les gens, il a une attirance pour les lieux publics et de rassemblements quotidiens comme les marchés, les places publiques, les cafés, les bistrots, les bouquinistes et les quais de métro. Le fait de “poser” les couleurs plutôt que de les “peindre” (comme un corps à corps) sans se soucier des traits de composition placés avant elles sur la toile, lui font ressentir l’atmosphère de ces endroits et la vie qui s’y manifeste.
