Descending the language of the world, like so many narrative rivers, without trying to reduce your voice to the speakable. The useful has come undone in him, but his meaning is limitless. It springs up at the place where the words are absent of themselves, and enter into its emptiness, into its nothing. It is sometimes the resonance of the breath, sometimes the fullness born of this infinite light; silence of mirror surfaces, wet memory.
