Martin Singer is a contemporary French artist whose artistic journey began when he left the Beaux-Arts in the 90s. His passion for painting has always been the driving force behind his creation.
Attaché by questioning his favorite medium, he managed to work on the mode of his presentation most often implemented, which is the frame. But beyond the frame, more general questions become clearer: the off-screen, the border, the inside-outside.
A passionate designer, each work has been the subject of numerous sketches, the most spontaneous scribble on a millimeter plan reminiscent of industrial drawing. Tedious but necessary work for the proper production of the work.
Most often, the artist makes his frames himself with the precision of an artisan carpenter, frame that he polishes, varnishes or paints according to the needs of the project. This handmade work gives each work a unique, personal and very original look.
