Martha Arango
née à Mexico en 1965.
Après un passage de quelques années en Amérique centrale où Martha Arango travaille la céramique et la poterie indigène, elle part en Europe, travaille à Berlin durant 5 années, avant de s’installer dans le sud de la France.
Depuis son atelier de Fontès, dans l’Hérault, Martha expérimente la sculpture en utilisant divers matériaux naturels et recyclés, principalement le papier, le carton et la pâte cellulosique (crée par elle même) en mettant en valeur les techniques anciennes avec des matériaux naturels.
Elle fait remonter à la surface ses thèmes préférentiels : la nature, l’environnement et la conscience de l’homme sur soi.
Fondatrice des associations KAWSAYPACHA (en lien avec le Peuple Q'ero du Pérou) et LAYANAN; elle travaille pour une sensibilisation et une approche à l’art et à la nature comme une voie pour le développement de la personne et de son bien être propre.
