Marly graduated in industrial art and design in 1995. Afterward, she moved to London, UK, where she experimented with various mediums before ultimately focusing on oil painting and embroidery as her primary forms of expression. In 2003, she relocated to the south of France, where she obtained a professional qualification in silkscreen printing.
Having spent her childhood on the shores of Durban in South Africa, Marly's work is deeply influenced by her roots.
