Marjory Mulrooney

Born in Glasgow,  Scotland,  I have lived and worked in UK,  Bulgaria, Germany, The Sultanate of Oman and France  where I now live. I have now retired from teaching although I continue to make Art. 

My work often concerns the qualities of the materials used to make Art.  For example,  I use carbon in many of its guises from smoke to diamond!  I work both figuratively and also create abstract pieces which reference ideas,  emotions,  places and times using primarily,  drawing techniques and materials . 

Recently I organised a charity art sale to raise funds for a Children's cancer charity here in France.  75 artists contributed to the sale which raised  a  large sum , all of which was given to support research into cancer in children. 

My work is in collections worldwide.
