Jeune artiste peintre stéphanois, Louis Darnet vu le jour le 7 mars 1983 dans la banlieue de Saint Etienne. Inspiré par le travail de son grand-père, il se découvrît très jeune une passion pour l’art, et surtout pour la peinture qui devînt très vite une vocation. Peintre autodidacte, il aborde l’art de manière lyrique, se moquant de l’apparence et jouant sur l’interprétation symbolique de ses toiles. Il explore l’âme sous les traits de femmes au visage fin, semblant toutes êtres tissées du même fil, choix de l’artiste qui précise ainsi que « tous peuvent se reconnaître dans un monde ou tous se ressemblent ». Il y demeure une atmosphère poétique très imagée ou l’apparence n’est qu’une raison de voyager dans le rêve, une douce mélancolie s’y dégage et nous berce dans un flou d’interrogation et d’émotion aux influences parfois mystique.
