From the Heavens is a digital AI image composited over a painted collage background. The subject in the art was conjured from a poem about a fallen angel who rises out of the water on earth seeking redemption. Ai Prompt Art created the Angel on a digital platform—a figment of the artist's imagination described through prompts. The art process was achieved through the marriage of both AI and classic 2D combinations. The background art is a labor of love, the result of layering three painted abstract plates together to create a fractal world of shattered colors and geometric squares and rectangles filled with color. Lastly, the edges are darkened to give the impression of intimacy. The artwork is a metaphor for redemption. As children, we fall to earth as angels in innocence, but through our experience in life, our innocence dissipates. We are always caught up in a struggle of good versus the carnal. Can we rise above our basic instincts of instant gratification? As the apple tempted Eve.

Marc is a multidisciplinary artist. The only son of the artist/sculpture/poet Carol Vandermeir Levy. Marc holds a BFA in film from the Philadelphia College of Art (U'Arts). Marc's career path out of college was into the advertising film and video industry. In 1985 in founded his sales and management company, CAM inc. In 2006, he left his company to focus entirely on art. While his roots are in painting and film, he incorporates mixed media elements with his work today. His photography work varies from bnw street, landscape, and abstract collage. He was an early pioneer in digital art, and in 2002, he started to use digital painting, filters, and layering in his art. Marc works from his studio in Connecticut.
