Magali Lapeyre-Mirande, born in 1984, lives and works in France, near Bordeaux. A realist artist, she mainly uses pencil and graphite on paper to capture with striking precision the emotions and personality of her subjects. Her work, meticulous and full of sensitivity, demonstrates her attention to detail.
Over the years, Magali has distinguished herself with her talent, winning several prestigious awards. In 2024, she received the Bronze Medal in the Painting - Work on Paper section at the Salon des Artistes Français for her drawing "Humain". The previous year, she was a finalist in the "Prix de Dessin Pierre David-Weill" competition at the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Paris. In 2022, her drawing "Les Yeux de l'âme" earned her the "Runner-Up" prize at the "Artists for Painted Dogs Autumn 2022" exhibition in South Africa. In 2021, she won the "Ara d'Or" Trophy for her drawing "Respire" at the Aranima exhibition in Paris.
Magali began her career by devoting herself exclusively to human portraits, but she gradually integrated her passion for wildlife into her art. All her drawings are done freehand, with the highest quality materials, thus guaranteeing their durability. Committed to the animal cause, she raises awareness for the protection of endangered species by donating a portion of the sales of her works to dedicated associations.
